Have you ever wondered how many acres of pasture and hayland are in Georgia? The fact is that over 4 million acres of pasture and hayland can be found in Georgia. That is more than the top 10 row crops and vegetable crops in our state COMBINED! In this presentation, I talk about how important this acres are to our environment and our economy. I go over some of the challenges that our forage-based livestock industries are facing. But, I also highlight some of the amazing opportunities that forage growers in Georgia have available to them.
