In this presentation, Dr. Lawton Stewart, Extension Beef Nutritionist, outlines important facts about stocker herd management and nutrition. He goes over basic management plans, indicates sources of cattle, price differences, and physical preferences, as well as going over examples of ration balancing and proper identification/record keeping. Included in the presentation is a pilot for his new ration balancing program entitled UGA BASIC, soon to be available online.
